Jonah
is generally a man who people say was a repentant and Godly man, but is that
really true? Going solely by some of the first chapters, I say no. This is for
a few reasons, first when God tells him to go to Nineveh to help the city, he
refuses and runs in the opposite direction because he did not want to help
them. The next reason is that when he is in the ship sleeping and the captain
is asking him to Call on God to see if he will stop the storms, he just doesn’t
do what the captain asks at all. The last reason I think Jonah was not repentant
was because he never really did repent while he was in the fish, he knew that
his only way out was to do what God said so he asked to be spit out of the
whale. In the next chapters there are a few more examples of Jonah’s
selfishness, but these that I have mentioned are the best for proof.

The Creation of all
It all began with nothing, just empty space. But then God
decided to make something new, and began creating the earth. He started out
with the simple stuff(not really simple, but probably simple for God) for the first 5 days. For example, skies and waters,
darkness and light, and so on. But then he got to what was probably his most
important creation, Man. At first, God made Adam, a man who roamed around and
lived in the garden alone, and was created in his image. Then he saw something
strange in Adam, loneliness. When he saw that, God decided to give him a
partner. So he put Adam into a deep sleep and took one of his ribs out to
create his partner, Eve. At that point, they became one being, just how God had
created them to be. And he said that it was good.

The Lord in my Life
Gods story mixing into our lives is a very important thing to wrap your mind around. This helps to know what God expects of you and how he wants you to act. just like in the Ten Commandments how he said "Thou shalt not lie", "Thou shall not murder", and the other eight . He also talks about keeping a clean temple which means keeping your body clean and pure. he is not overbearing though, because He does let you do what you want to do, but He wants you to follow what He tells you to do in his word. My favorite part of intertwining Gods story in my life is that i can show the love that He showed me and all of us on the cross, and just hope that others can see Him working through me.

Hebrews study
I recently took a deeper look
into the book of Hebrews. It immediately caught my attention when It started
talking about the definition of Faith (eleventh chapter of Hebrews). The exact
definition it gives is that Faith is
“Being sure of what we hope for
and certain of what we do not see”. I
was even more interested when it talked about my bible hero, Noah, who obeyed
the Lord even when everyone else ridiculed him and made a mockery of him for
it. Then it went on to talk about Abraham who is also a critical part of the Bible. He was called to a place to
receive his inheritance, but was still unsure. The important part though, was
that he went anyway, and followed what the Lord had instructed him to do. Still
though at the end I was unsure about how he talked of that he lived in the
promise land in a tent until God built the city around him (which he never
did). It also talked of how the Israelites passed through the red sea, but when
the Egyptians tried to come back after them, God made the sea swallow them up.
The interesting thing was that they were praised for what they had done but
never given what they were promised. This makes me know how much God works in
mysterious ways.
